The online betting industry is flying, not literally of course but in a metaphorical sense things have never been better. This has seen a number of new players enter the market over recent years as big business wants their slice of the cake but are these newcomers any good?
We continue our series of bookmaker reviews by looking at 22bet, new to the industry in 2018 we will review how they have done with regards to their welcome offers, their customer service, their variety, in-play options, their security plus everything else you could wish to know about an online bookmaker. Read on to find out more:
22bet New Customer Offer
22bet know how to entice new customers, as with many other online bookmakers they offer new users a welcome bonus that should encourage them to sign up to an account. The 22bet offer is surprisingly good compared to some other bookmakers on the market.
22bet offer 100% matched bonus on the first deposit up to £50 to all its new customer. This is a pretty common strategy in the iGaming world where bookmakers encourage players to open an account and deposit. As the name suggests you get 100% increase on that first deposit up to a maximum value of £50 which essential means you can start playing with a pot of £100 by only risking £50. Please note that you must enter the code "50SPORT" when making your deposit to claim this bonus so do not forget to do this or you won’t be able to claim the welcome offer.
As with all bookmaker online the 22bet offer has some terms and conditions that you should be aware of. The first is that you must wager on an event with odds of at least 1.65 or more for the bonus to count.
Once you have claimed the welcome offer you have 30 day with which to play it or you will lose it so be mindful of that. The 22bet welcome bonus can be used on any in-play of pre-match sporting event but you can only have one bonus activated at any one time so make sure you use the welcome offer before any other promotions 22bet may have running.
This welcome offer is currently available until 31/12/19 so there be sure to take advantage before it is withdrawn or changed.
22bet First impressions
Jumping onto the 22bet website the first impression are fairly understated. The site appears to be fairly standard but made me negative impression is the logo. It looks like it was made by a student trying to learn to use graphic editing software for the first time (not that important, granted, but still not a fantastic way to show off your new company).
The logo blending into the dark green theme of the site is not ideal but they do win with the way the left hand menu clearly lays out the sports, or at least the main ones, available to the players. The logos, for example NHL, are great and make it clear for users where they need to go to find their preferred sport or league.
One thing that is really frustrating, however, is the way you have to scroll down to the bottom of the menus using three separate sliders. Initially it appeared as though the site was not working properly as the bottom of the page couldn’t be seen when using the main scroll down slider for the page but on closer inspection you will find each menu (left, centre and right) has their own dark colour slider of their own. It means that you constantly have to go up and down with these in order to see all the information which is not great for usability. May be they will read our review speak with their UX experts and fix it.
Overall, though, the site functions reasonable well and will be fairly intuitive for most players that have already been using some other bookmakers online.
